My name is Allan Peng. I came from Dalian Nesusoft University of Information, China. I have been working on international education for almost 10 years, now working here as an exchange teacher, aiming to help the students to improve their Professional English.
My first impression of Japanese students was in 2011. I participated an international program(IT Innovation Program), which providing IT project development training for new hires(no more than 3 years working experience after college graduation) from very famous Japanese companies. Our first session of students are from野村総合研究 and I was responsible for the IT courses design and teaching. In the program, students were grouped into different international teams, each one composing of both Chinese students and Japanese students, they were supposed to complete a software project following the Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC)in a month, including software requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation and testing as well. So the schedule was really tight, but finally every team was able to finish their own project before deadline with high quality. Which impressed me most was that though most of the Japanese students had very good education background, they were really delligent, they were young, energetic, full of passion, so whatever they did, they did it well. Even since then, I fell in love with international education. Then we have more sessions for new hires from関西電力, 住友化学, Toyota and so on, also more student from Russia, Thailand, Kuwait, Australia. But Japanese students impressed us most, just as one of the Japanese student said in the graduation ceremony “ Both China and Japan have a lot of connections, not only in skin color, economy, but also in culture, we share so many things in common”.
It seems that I have deep connection with this amazing country. My first visit here in Tsuyama Kosen was in the summer of 2014, a one-week Database course for the students. The desire for knowledge, eager to learn, concentration in class are some characteristics of students, which gave you a sense of achievement. Now this second time here, really love this quiet town, thanks to the kindness of all teachers, its a lot of fun to work here.
